When the world is dominated by two large-powered blocs, the Soviet Union (eastern bloc) with communist-socialist ideology and the United States (western bloc) whose capitalist ideology does not affect Indonesia in the politics of the world. This is considered by Indonesia as a newly independent country so its government agenda has not been integrated in foreign policy. However, in this young age Indonesia dared to take a firm stand on its independent foreign policy. In his speech entitled "Rowing Between Two Reefs", Hatta (in Nature 2008: 43) Indonesia has its own political path of Free Active Politics' which became the fundamental basis of Indonesia. Hatta defines "free" as Indonesia's independence that is not in the western bloc nor the eastern bloc in overcoming international problems.
